HC Verma's Concepts of Physics is a widely acclaimed book physics textbook for students of 11th , 12th grade and undergraduate levels. It is also used by many students preparing for competitive exams such as the IIT-JEE and the NEET. Is comprehended by most Physics teachers due to its has clear explanation and comprehensive coverage. In
this review, I will outline the strengths and weaknesses of this
influential book.
The book is divided into two volumes each covering a different set of topics. Volume 1 covers mechanics, thermodynamics, oscillations, waves, and electromagnetism. volume 2 covers optics, relativity, modern physics, and nuclear physics.
Pros:
- Written is a well matter and is easy to understand
- Solved Examples and Practice problems for every topic
- Covers all important and topic repeatedly asked in competitive exams
- Real-life examples and analogies to explain abstract concepts, bridging the gap between theory and application making the content more engaging.
Cons:
- Question Level are found to be very difficult but many students
- Does not cover many advanced topics
- Prerequisites mathematical advancement

Harish Chandra Verma, popularly known as HC Verma is a experimental physicists at IIT Kanpur. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 202. His field of work is nuclear physics.He obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Physics from the renowned Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. He also has a YouTube Channel named H C VERMA Where he frequently uploads videos on various questions and doubts.
